A quiet dōjō for the serious study of karate — kihon, kata, and kumite, taught in the traditional manner.
Technique without character is only violence. Training begins and ends with the self.
Keep your word to your training partners, your sensei, and yourself.
Progress is slow and belongs to those who keep showing up to the floor.
The bow at the door is not a formality — it is respect made visible.
Real strength is knowing when a technique is unnecessary.
Tanaka Sensei began training at age nine under his grandfather's dōjō in Kumamoto and has taught in this city for over two decades. His classes are unhurried and exacting — favoring depth over speed, and correct foundation over early promotion.
He is assisted by a rotating panel of senior black belts, each responsible for a stage of the curriculum from first kata to competition kumite.
